Overview

The next online application cycle will run from August 1 - August 29, 2025 for possible funding in January 2026.

The online application link will open on August 1st and will close at 5:00pm on the deadline date.

In addition to continuing our primary focus of direct service general operational support to help communities struggling with the impacts of poverty, we are also supporting capacity and collaboration building efforts. Additionally, we are reaffirming our commitment to fund smaller Philadelphia organizations supporting historically marginalized communities with operating budgets less than $1 million. If you have a large budget and are unsure if you should apply, please reach out prior to submitting an application.

The Patricia Kind Family Foundation only accepts applications, supporting documentation, and grant reports online. Most giving is in the range of $10,000 to $25,000/year for a one to three year period.

We encourage organizations to apply for multi-year general operating support funds.

Site visits are done on all programs selected for possible funding and, if possible, the Trustees want to see the program “in action”. Please keep this in mind when selecting which application cycle to use.

All applicants are contacted during the review process. After the application cycle closes and the application has been fully reviewed you will be contacted as to the status, either to schedule a site visit for further evaluation or notification that the proposal was not selected for funding. This process will take six to seven weeks after the deadline.

Excluded from the Foundation’s funding priorities are grants in direct support of individuals, i.e., scholarships or fellowships; endowments; and capital projects.

Grantees must take an application cycle off after submitting their final report before being eligible to submit a new request.

Applicants who have been denied funding must take an application cycle off before being eligible to submit a new request.
